Abstract :
With the conquest of Iran by Alexander, the Greek rulers pursued a policy that pursued two goals: first, to further strengthen their rule, they encouraged the Greeks to emigrate to Iran and relocated them to military bases and small towns. They turned to urban planning and settled the Greeks in new cities with the aim of overseeing the eastern cities. In the present study, the historical research method has been collected with a descriptive-analytical approach and based on library studies. The findings show that the Greek-style policy of encouraging immigration and urban planning continued, with Greek police pursuing political, social, and cultural domination of the Seleucids politically, socially, and culturally during the first Seleucus, Antiochus I, and IV. It should be noted that the Greeks were mostly concentrated in the east of the Seleucid Empire, which included parts of present-day Iran, western, Parthia, and the west. But after a while, urban planning lost its color and the people of eastern lands such as Bacteria and Balkh revolted and made these lands independent
