Abstract :
The presence of women and their role in shaping today's urban spaces is an important issue. On the other hand, the issue of gender and gender equality in urban spaces is an issue that is often marginalized Gender equality means respect for the equality of men and women with access to all cultural, social, and economic opportunities in a way that does not prejudice or overwhelm anyone. The method of this research is descriptive-analytical with practical purposes.About 267 questionnaires were distributed among women based on Cochran model and data were analyzed by exploratory factor and t-test. Cronbach's alpha for the reliability of thequestionnaire was 89.1, indicating the desired reliability.Based on exploratory factor analysis, the questions were categorized into four factors (physical, access, social security andcultural) that account for 68.35% of the total variance. The results show that physical, access and socio-cultural factors with significant levels of 0.043, 0.016 and 0.033, respectively, are not in good agreement with women's needs and only security factor with significant level of 0.220 shows favorable status for respondents.
