Abstract :
Infidelity is one of the shocking injuries that can happen in real and cyber space. The aim of the current research is to investigate and identify the factors involved in the occurrence of this phenomenon. The design of this research is descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of research included all married internet users living in Tabriz city, who are members of channels, groups and internal chat rooms of social networks. Among these users, 354 people were selected by available sampling method. In order to collect data, Bagaroozi's Marital Intimacy and Cyberinfidelity Questionnaire was used. The research questions were analyzed by multiple regression method and SPSS software version 23. The result of the regression analysis indicated the prediction of cyber infidelity with the component of physical intimacy and sexual intimacy, but other components of marital intimacy could not predict cyber infidelity in this regard (p<0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that physical intimacy and sexual intimacy are predictive factors of cyber infidelity; In other words, the lower the level of intimacy, the higher the prediction power of cyber infidelity.
