Abstract :
This study was conducted to examine the psychometric properties of the quality of marital satisfaction scale in Iran. In a cross-sectional study, 520 couple in Tehran were assessed using Index of marital satisfaction (IMS) Hudson and quality of marital satisfaction. Data were analyzed with correlation coefficients and factor analysis. The results of the factor analysis revealed one factor for quality of marital satisfaction. The results of the other convergent scales showed confirmatory validity and pertinent exploration of the questionnaire. To determine the reliability, Kronbach,s alpha was used, and it was 0/92. The findings of this study show that the Persian version of the quality of marital scale is reliable and valid for Iranian couples.
