Effectiveness of play therapy approach Cognitive - behavioral Meichenbaum shyness on children of primary school boys and girls

Abstract :
The present study examined the impact of play therapy with a cognitive approach - behavioral shyness Meichenbaum the school children were girls and boys. The experimental study pretest - posttest control group. For this purpose, 50 male and female students in the geographical area Abhar city in the academic year 90-89 were enrolled using a multi-stage cluster random sampling method and by the ckeck behavioral list of shy students identified as shyness, behavioral and were selected in the test and control groups (each group consisted of 25 patients) were included. ckeck list of behavioral shyness as a research tool before and after implementation of the independent variable (play therapy, cognitive - behavioral, within 4 weeks, 3 sessions per week, 45-30 minutes) and the data obtained was performed using SPSS software and using descriptive statistics and t tests were analyzed. The results showed that the experimental group scored significantly less shyness than the control group. They also shyness scores than pre-test score changes showed significant differences. Cognitive behavior therapy in the game Mayknbam schoolchildren is effective in reducing shyness.
