Abstract :
Foreign investment due to lack of domestic financial resources or its inefficiency in developing countries is the engine of economic and social development of these societies, including Iran. In the early 21st century, the economic situation in Iran has made it necessary to attract foreign financial resources. The main question of this research is to study the effects of the nuclear agreement on the inflow of foreign investment in Iran. The nuclear deal aroused the interest of capitalists and foreign companies in Iran. It provided psychological grounds for investing in Iran, especially in the oil and automobile industries. However, due to structural challenges, especially the shaky US approach, the independence of capitalists in the world from governments, and internal problems such as the non-acceptance of FATF and domestic law in Iran, this investment failed in practice
