Abstract :
One of today's environmental issues is the creation of sewage containing organic dyes by dyeing industries. These pollutants have caused many damages to humans and other creatures. In this project, Fe3O4@GT nanocomposite was synthesized by Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles and tragacanth gum. tragacanth gum was used as an important and functional component to improve absorption speed. Then, with the help of this nanocomposite, the removal quality of methylene blue was checked. Conditions such as the amount of absorbent, the amount of methylene blue, the pH of the environment and the temperature of the environment were investigated in the quality of removal of methylene blue, and Taguchi method was used to find the optimal results. XRD, FTIR, DLS, SEM, and VSM were used for sample analysis. FTIR results proved the presence of functional groups of tragacanth hydrogel on the surface of nanoparticles. The particle size of the nanocomposite obtained by DLS method was 96.24 nm and the VSM value for the nanocomposite was 31.33 emu/g. The optimum condition of the adsorbent was in alkaline pH and the high amount of pollutant reduced the adsorption percentage. Increasing the ambient temperature improved absorption. It was found that Fe3O4@GT nanocomposite has a high adsorption performance on methylene blue with a removal rate of 86.4% after 4 hours.
