Abstract :
Historians study the human history and analyse the events and political scientists and politicians need to know about the history of the nation and the world and the political history of their homeland. Having a historical understanding would lead to better decision making by politicians for the present and the future. On the other hand, political science can be viewed as dealing with the present history, and political scientists by focusing on theories, practice the solutions to the current issues of the present and this can be viewed as a policy process for the future and making history. The role of history in this process is not a simple matter and in policy making and political science historical elements of a society cannot be ignored and this has been elaborated in various schools of thoughts and social mechanisms, i.e. path dependency.
