Abstract :
After providing an introduction to the birth of myth, this article explores questions such as why myth is placed alongside everyday reality in Mary NDiaye's works and what is its role. Marie Ndiaye, a contemporary and talented French writer, has adopted a new approach to myths. In his works, the discovery of archetypes and myths hidden in stories contributes to resolving social problems at the source. According to her, until these problems are addressed, they will continue to repeat themselves from generation to generation. In the present article, we intend to demonstrate how it is possible to identify recurring patterns of myths and human problems by examining archetypes, because literature is a force capable of solving human obstacles and problems. Furthermore, using the textual-descriptive analysis method, we will study certain invisible and internal aspects of Marie NDiaye's fictional characters by means of mythological theories. A myth is an archetype hidden in the collective wisdom of a society with a story and a history. Our objective will therefore be to know the role of mythology and, more importantly, the therapeutic role that literature could play in society through mythology.
