Abstract :
Introduction: Domestic violence is the cause of most physical and psychological damages in women. The purpose of this study is to predict domestic violence against women based on self-differentiation and family performance with Alexithymia mediationin women visiting to comprehensive urban health services centers in Bojnourd.MethodThis study is a correlational with structural equation modeling method and the statistical،population of all women referring to Bojnourd Comprehensive Health Services Centers in July to November 2019 is 1335.The sample size was estimated to be 250 by Cochran formula. The sampling method is available. In order to measure the research variables, domestic violence, Alexithymia, family performance, and family data were analyzed using Amos software, Self-assessment mediation test method, structural equation method, path analysis.Findings: The results showed that the coefficient of influence of self-differentiation level on mediation variable (Alexithymia) was -0.32 and the coefficient of influence of family function variable on mediation variable (Alexithymia) was 0.41 indirect effect of self-differentiation level and Family performance on violence against women is -0.16 and 0.21.Conclusion: Since the significance level of indirect effect is less than 0.01, it can be concluded that Alexithymia have a mediating role between family function and the level of self-differentiation with domestic violence against women.
