Abstract :
The present study investigated the role of emotional security and sexual activity in tendency of couples to external marital relationships. This study was designed and completed descriptively with correlation design. The sample included 380 couples living in Lordegan . The Golombok - Rust Inventory of Sexual activity (GRISS), Intimacy Security Questionnaire – Revised (ISQ-R) and tendency to external marital relationships questionnaire were administered ,The correlation analysis showed that tendency of couples to external marital relationships have a significant relationship with their emotional security and sexual activity. Also regression analysis indicated that emotional security and sexual activity are the significant predictor for the tendency to external marital relationships. Findings confirm that there is a significant relationship between emotional security and sexual activity with tendency of couples to external marital relationships and we can predict their tendency to external marital relationships through emotional security and sexual activity .
