Abstract :
Abstract This research aimed to determine the relationship of social intelligence, cultural intelligence and emotional intelligence with the quality of marital relationships. This study was a descriptive one with correlation design. The statistical population of the research included all the married female students of Babol Azad University in 2021-2022 academic year. The sample of the study consisted of 150 people who were selected using convenience sampling method from the students of different fields of study in master degree. After discarding the distorted questionnaires, 140 questionnaires were analyzed. In order to collect the data of the study, Silvera et al.'s (2001), Ang and Earley's (2004) cultural intelligence, Wang and Lau's (2002) emotional intelligence, and Busby et al.'s (1995) marital relationship quality questionnaires were used. Pearson's correlation test and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The results of Pearson's correlation coefficient showed that the relationship of social intelligence, cultural intelligence and emotional intelligence with the quality of marital relationships was positive and significant (p<0.05). Multiple regression analysis indicated that the predictor variables explained 20 percent of the variance of the quality of marital relationship, so that the variables of social intelligence, emotional intelligence and cultural intelligence respectively, positively and significantly predicted the quality of marital relationships of students. Also, the components of the predictor variables could explain almost 32 percent of the variance of the quality of marital relationships; that is, the components of the use of emotions, self-perception evaluation, social awareness, regulation of emotions and metacognitive strategy predict the quality of the marital relationship positively and significantly. Keywords: Social intelligence, cultural intelligence, emotional intelligence, marital relationship quality.
