Abstract :
Contemporary Arabic poets often employ sensory transference, a technique that blends senses, to create captivating literary works. This technique has gained recognition in recent literary criticism due to its ability to convey the distinctive qualities of one sense through another. This study explores the use of sensory transference in the poetry of Omar Abu Risha and Sohrab Sepehri, examining its significance in captivating readers and listeners and its psychological impact, which immerses them in the poets' emotional and mental experiences. The level of success achieved by these poets in employing sensory transference to reveal hidden aspects of themselves and engage the reader's responsiveness to their poetry while enhancing the reader's literary pleasure remains an unexplored topic. This descriptive-analytical study compares the poems of both poets, revealing that blending senses enhances their imaginative power and enables them to tap into a greater sensory force when expressing their innermost thoughts. The research method of the article is descriptive-analytical and has chosen the sensory technique as the research method, and in this regard, it has applied this research method on the poems of the two aforementioned poets. The reason for choosing these two poets is that this literary technique is significantly present in their poems so that they are leaders in this field. In the current research, we examined two divans of two poets, and the reason for choosing these poems in their divans is for comparative analysis that these poems fit with the research objectives, the goals that are used.
