Investigating the Role of Social Support in Women's Marital Adjustment

Abstract :

Incompatibility and dissatisfaction in marital relations while disturbing the psychological-emotional balance of family members causes problems in social relations, the tendency of moral deviations and the decline of cultural values ​​between couples. شد. The theoretical framework was presented using the theories of theorists such as Goffman, Nye, Bath, Andre Michel and Bourdieu. This research was conducted by survey method and for the validity of the questionnaire measures of face validity and reliability using Cronbach's alpha coefficient which was higher than 0.70 for all variables. The statistical population of this study is 133180 married women in 2, 6 and 18 districts of Tehran. The sample size in this study includes 574 people which was determined using Cochran's formula and random sampling method. Findings showed that among the independent variables of receiving emotional support (R = 0.635), receiving instrumental support (R = 0.285), receiving information support (R = 0.449), group membership (R = 0.494) And having a strong relationship with members of the personal social network (R = 0.264), there is a significant relationship with the dependent variable of marital adjustment.
