Investigating the relationship between social trust and the tendency to participate voluntarily in the activities of the Red Crescent Society (Case of study: Isfahan)

Abstract :
Social participation is also effective in creating and expanding civil society and identifying the public space and is of great importance in this regard. Given the importance of discussing social participation, the present study uses a field method, survey technique and research tool questionnaire to answer the main question of whether there is a relationship between social trust and the tendency to participate voluntarily in the activities of the Red Crescent population. There is? The statistical population of the present study is all volunteers participating in the activities of the Relief Committee, 384 of whom were examined as a sample size and SPSS software and structural equations of Smart PLS were used to analyze the data. The results indicate that between social trust (P = 0.34) and its indicators, ie basic trust (P = 0.44), informal trust (P = 0.30), institutional trust (P = 0.38) and generalized trust Finding (P = 0.36) There is a positive and significant relationship with voluntary participation in the activities of the Red Crescent Society. Therefore, all research hypotheses are confirmed. The results of the structural equation model (Smart PLS) also show that social trust has a moderate effect on voluntary participation in the activities of the Red Crescent population (0.53) and the social trust variable in total (0.28) of the variance of the participation variable. Explains voluntarily in the activities of the Red Crescent Society.
