Abstract :
Mutilation is one of the most heinous and inhumane acts committed after or even before the killing of prisoners by some takfiri groups. However, they attributed this act to religion, like their other actions, and created a hated image of Islam in the public opinion, and introduced Islam to the world as a violent religion. The purpose of the present study is to examine the jurisprudential ruling on mutilation of captives from the perspective of the two sects. This research, by descriptive and analytical methods and by studying verses and hadiths and jurisprudential practice, showed that the holy religion of Islam has always recommended respect for human dignity and human dignity whether in peace or war, and the prohibition of mutilation, torture and Any other form of humiliating behavior has ruled against the high position of man, so not only has he not approved of such an act, but he considers it against Islamic law and rules that it is invalid.
