Abstract :
The image of Muhammad al-Durra, the young Palestinian martyr, in contemporary Arabic poetry (Case study: simile images) Abstract The killing of Palestinian children and teenagers at the hands of the occupying entity has become one of the main topics of contemporary Arab poets. Many poets from different Arab countries, while expressing their national and political issues, addressed the issue of the martyrdom of these Palestinian children and adolescents. The martyrdom of Muhammad al-Durra in 2000 AD and the broadcast of shocking images of him dying in his father’s arms had a wide resonance around the world, as well as among contemporary Arab poets.
