One of the new approaches in language research, especially semantics is context of the text. The present research work studies the literally similar verses in Adam story. The verses in which words play great role to convey meaning. The aim of this study is to survey the words of the story of the prostration of angels to Adam (AS) and the devil's disobedience to the divine command with the approach of linguistic context with a descriptive-analytical method. The findings of this study showed that the words used in similar verses of the story of Adam's prostration in the scattered chapters of the Holy Quran are related to each other in a semantic chain in such a way that its words are used in such a context that it can be replaced based on Syntagmatic axis and Paradimatic axis.
