Analytical Critique of Khtami Lahouri and Jamal Aftab's Commentaries from the Perspective of Love and Mysticism on Hafez's Divan

Abstract :

So far, many commentaries and interpretations have been written on Hafez's Divan. These commentaries mainly or generally consider Hafez's poems to be devoid of mystical tendencies; Or their interpretation is purely mystical and their view to all lyric poems is a mystical view. The important question that arises in this case is whether such views of Hafez's Divan are logically correct or is there a middle way? The author believes that a dogmatic and purely one-sided view of this artistic work is not valid. In this article, it is tried to determine the non-mystical nature of some of Hafez's poems by relying on a few verses from Hafez's Divan and comparing two complete mystical descriptions. The two mystical interpretations that have been researched in this article are "Jamal Aftab and Aftab Har Nazar" by Ali Saadat Parvar, which was published in 2001, and the other is "Khatmi Lahouri's mystical commentary on the Hafez's Divan by Abolhassan Abdolrahman Khatmi Lahouri" which was written in India in the first half of the 11th century.
