Abstract :
Iran and Iranian art treasures have got a great part in inspiring and creating numerous masterpieces of world literature. James Maurie and Gobineau are among writers who created their unique works under the influence of this rich heritage.Both benefiting from the conditions prevailing in Iranian society, have got tremendous skill in reproducing the Iranian notion and that of orientalism in the form of stories. Their famous fictions "Adventures of Haji Baba Isfahani" and "Asian stories" are the evidence. In this paper, we aim to study the place of Iran through these works, and after that, to explore the view of these two authors on the Iranian society at that time.
