Abstract :
Abstract Langston Hughes is one of the most important black American poets, who is called the "King of Black Poets." In his works, he describes the aspects of black people life and opposes injustices and racial discrimination exercised against them in order to realize their civil rights. In thisresearch, some of the commoncomponents of hispoetry are compared with those of ParvinEtesami. Thepurpose of thepresent study is to explain that two poets, attempt to renarrate some parts of thebehaviors and epistemological values in connection to different social classes, especially for the lower or subaltern social strata. Thefindings show that Hughesand ParvinEtesami, due to theirsocial tendencies and ideologies, have paid attention to the wishes and aspirations of the subaltern. Theirreaction to class differences stems from the thinking they have developed. Hughes'spoems is filled with the reflection of racist attitudes whosesocial policies consider theimprovement of thelives of the subaltern as a great danger. However, as per Parvin Etesami's poem, in an Iranian society where racist thinking does not prevail, thedeprivation of individuals is justified by ideological analyses and attributing the situation to fate and destiny.
