Comparing and ranking methods for monitoring NO2 in the air by using Analytical Hierarchy Process Model

One of the potential destruction of ozone is NO gas, which has been causing irreparable damage to the ozone layer. Therefore, in this paper has been presents methods for monitoring nitrogen dioxide in the air. To determine the best method of monitoring has been used analytical hierarchy process model and expert choices software. Therefore, the criteria such as investment cost, easy operation, reliability in data entry, method lifetime was used to select the appropriate method monitoring of nitrogen dioxide. Weight of each criterion is calculated using the Expert Choices software. With further studies through various methods, four methods, including mobile station, passive sampling, active sampling and remote sensors, were identified for compared and evaluated through AHP process. Finally, by applying the appropriate weight to each of the methods, the best method of monitoring nitrogen oxides in the air, has been selected the passive sampling.
