Abstract :
This study was implemented to build a model of a diversified agricultural extension system for sustainable management of agricultural water resources in Khuzestan province. This study is a non-experimental, applied descriptive study conducted in the form of a survey. The statistical population included all experts from the organizations involved in the pluralistic agricultural extension system in Khuzestan province (N = 14,113), from which a sample of 375 experts was selected according to the Kerjcie and Morgan table based on the proportional stratified random sampling method. Data were collected using a researcher-developed questionnaire, whose reliability and validity were confirmed by measuring Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability as well as examining face validity and respective validity. Data were analyzed using SPSS and Lisrel software. The results show that among the aspects that influence a pluralistic agricultural extension system for sustainable management of agricultural water resources, the “sociocultural” aspect is the most important. Furthermore, among pluralistic agricultural extension systems, the planning and policy-making aspect is more important in the sustainable management of agricultural water resources. The bootstrapping method was used in the structural equation process. The results show that the design model has strong validity. The results also show that agricultural and infrastructure aspects have the most significant impact on the development variable of the pluralistic agricultural extension system in the sustainable development of agricultural water resources in Khuzestan province.
