Designing a comprehensive model of managers' strategic intelligence (case study: Islamic Azad University of Tehran)

Abstract :
AbstractIntroduction and purpose: Organizations need a strategic intelligence strategy for a measured and appropriate response to environmental changes. The present article has been implemented with the aim of presenting the structural model of strategic intelligence of managers of Islamic Azad University of Tehran.Method: The research method was mixed in that the qualitative part was based on foundational data theory and the quantitative part was based on the structural equation model. To collect data in the qualitative part with semi-structured interview method, the opinions of 12 managers and experts of the Islamic Azad University of Tehran were used, and in the quantitative part, the opinions of 210 deputy managers and heads of departments of the Islamic Azad University of Tehran were used.Findings: Using the open coding technique, 111 primary concepts, 23 sub-categories, and in the central coding stage, were classified around 6 main categories, and in the quantitative part, Smart PLS software was used to confirm the structural model.Conclusion: The findings indicate the appropriate fit of the strategic intelligence model of managers in the Islamic Azad University of Tehran. In this sense, suggestions such as reforming the structure of education and research in the university in order to institutionalize the components of the strategic intelligence model have been presented.
