Prioritizing factors affecting the professional ethics of Premier League football clubs

Abstract :
The aim of the current research was to prioritize the factors affecting the professional ethics of Premier League football clubs. The current research was applied in terms of purpose, in terms of mixed method and structural equation modeling research. The statistical population of the research in the qualitative part included football federation managers, experts, university professors, football club managers. 27 people in the qualitative part and 384 people in the quantitative part formed the statistical sample. The data collection tool in the qualitative part was a semi-structured interview, which was used in the form of a questionnaire with 13 factors in the quantitative part. The face and content validity of the questionnaire was checked by 10 professors and experts, and the reliability of the tool was obtained by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. For data analysis, the structural equation model was used by partial least squares method, and the construct validity was also confirmed. According to the values of significant coefficients obtained with 95% confidence from the structural model, causal factors, interactions, and consequences had a significant effect on the central phenomenon (professional ethics). The results showed that encouragement and punishment are the first priority among the main factors affecting The professional ethics of the Premier League football clubs is reserved for itself. After that, the involvement of politics in sports, damage reduction, law, social aspect of football, regulatory structure, behavior of club officials, modeling, organization structure, transparency of affairs, education and social ethics are the next priorities. In the meantime, the facilitator of ethics was the least important.
