Abstract :
Women's volleyball has many shortcomings compared to international standards. The purpose of this study was making an interpretive structural model for the development of women's volleyball in Iran. The mixed method was used, including interviews and Charms approach were used in the qualitative part, and interpretive structural analysis was used in the quantitative part. The participants included sports management experts, faculty members and volleyball experts. For semi-structured interviews, it was tried to use both people with academic education (members of the faculty of sports management, sociology, economics and educational sciences) and people with management experience in sports organizations and volleyball coaches and athletes. With the snowball sampling, 15 people in different areas were selected for interview. Coding was done using the Charms three-stage method and finally 7 selective components on the development of women's volleyball were identified which include removing organizational barriers, empowering human resources, environmental and hardware development, removing social barriers, development cultural, formulation of development strategies and sustainable development of women's volleyball. According to the findings, it can be said that the development of women's volleyball is more dependent on the implementation and implementation of extensive research projects, the adoption of equality policies in the allocation of funds and the employment of female managers, as well as basic training at the educational levels.
