Abstract :
One of the most effective factors in the development of tourism is advertising and information through virtual space. Virtual networks have a decisive role in the development of the tourism industry, with roles such as culture building, education, information and creating social participation, the main goal of this article is to investigate the obstacles to the development of tourism in the field of virtual space. In terms of the goal, the current research is applied-development, and in terms of the method of execution, it is among mixed exploratory researches, which collects, analyzes and combines data (quantitative and qualitative) in order to better understand the research questions.The statistical population of this research consists of communication professors who are knowledgeable and active in the field of virtual space tourism, activists in the field of virtual space tourism, managers of tourism service offices active in one of the social networks, and IT and marketing experts. The measuring instrument of questionnaire and expert interview is also based on the purposeful sampling method. According to the results obtained, there are no specific rules and regulations in the field of tourism, lack of support from the government and related institutions, and speculation and the entry of non-professionals into this job, the absence of a union, association or trade union, as well as the lack of educational institutions in this field as The most important obstacles to the development of tourism are considered to be in the field of virtual space.
