Identifying the Indexes and Components of Organizational Resilience in Private Sport Clubs

Abstract :
Background: Organizational resilience means that organizations survive in crises, tolerate well and improve their performance. Purpose: This study aims to identify the indexes and components of organizational resilience in private sport clubs. Methodology: The research community includes scientific and executive experts in the field of sport management who were familiar with the topics related to private sport clubs. To collecting samples by snow ball sampling method. Semi-structured interview is used for collecting data. Thus in this qualitative study, theme analysis method is used, the components and indexes of organizational resilience were identified by analyzing the data resulted from the interview texts with 17 scientific and executive experts. Results: According to the results, organizational resilience component includes three indexes of situational awareness, key vulnerability management, adaptability with 15 primary codes; barriers to resilience includes 16 primary codes, resilience facilitator component includes 5 indexes and 17 primary codes, and finally resilience strategy component includes 5 indexes with 17 primary codes. Conclusion: For developing organizational resilience in sport clubs through policy making and setting proper structures and providing satisfactory environments and contexts, organizational resilience bases in sport clubs are identified and performed.
