Developing a model of suicidal thoughts with the mediation of spiritual health based on psychological flexibility and emotional regulation

Abstract :
Objective: The present study was conducted with the aim of developing a model of suicidal thoughts with the mediation of spiritual health based on psychological flexibility and emotional regulation. Method: The research method is descriptive correlational in terms of fundamental purpose and descriptive in terms of research method. The statistical population includes all students of Islamic Azad University, Garmsar Branch in the academic year 2024-2025, which includes 3000 people. The sample was selected based on Morgan table, 332 people, using the available sampling method. Data were collected using Beck's suicidal thoughts questionnaire (1991), Bond et al.'s psychological flexibility (2011), Palotisan and Ellison's spiritual health (1982), and Gross and John's emotional regulation (2003) and analyzed in SPSS software (version 22). Findings: The results showed that spiritual health has a mediating role in the relationship between suicidal thoughts and psychological flexibility and emotional regulation. Conclusion: According to the results of the study, by increasing spiritual health, flexibility Psychological and emotional regulation can reduce suicidal thoughts.
