A Study of Public Law and Religious Diplomacy in Iran’s Foreign Policy Using the Theories of Islamic Jurisprudence

Abstract :
In this article, the role of Islamic jurisprudence in shaping religious diplomacy and its effects on Iran’s international relations is examined. Also, the impact of public law on Iran’s foreign policies and its overlaps with jurisprudence are analyzed. Case studies in various regions, including the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa, show that Iran has used religious diplomacy to strengthen its influence. However, this diplomacy faces challenges such as competition with other powers and sanctions. However, given the successes achieved in the international arena and the benefits that the use of Islamic jurisprudence in diplomacy and public law has had, this experience can be a suitable model for other countries that seek to increase their influence and impact in the international arena for the public good. Finally, the article examines the limitations and opportunities facing Iran in using religious diplomacy.
