Abstract :

This article examines the role of Islamic jurisprudence in shaping religious diplomacy and its effects on Iran’s international relations. It also analyzes the impact of public law on Iran’s foreign policies and its overlaps with jurisprudence. Case studies in various regions, including the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa, show that Iran has used religious diplomacy to strengthen its influence. However, this diplomacy faces challenges such as competition with other powers and sanctions. However, given the successes achieved in the international arena and the benefits that the use of Islamic jurisprudence, especially the jurisprudence of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), has had in diplomacy and public law, this experience can be a suitable model for other countries that are seeking to increase their influence and impact in the international arena for the public good. Finally, the article examines the limitations and opportunities facing Iran in using religious diplomacy.
