Abstract :
The present study aimed to investigate the role of parenting styles (authoritarian, authoritarian, and permissive) in predicting psychological flexibility and academic self-efficacy in high school girls in District 5 of Tehran. The statistical population included all female students in this region in the academic year 1400-1398
The results of the regression analysis showed that the authoritative parenting style has a positive and significant relationship with both psychological flexibility and academic self-efficacy variables, while the authoritarian style has a negative and significant relationship with flexibility.
Permissive style did not show a significant relationship with any of the variables. The findings show that authoritative parenting can help develop psychological resilience and academic self-confidence in adolescents by creating emotional security, independence, and responsibility.
