Abstract :
One of the undeniable realities of Iran’s contemporary history is the eight-year Sacred Defense. It is the right of today’s children to become familiar with the inspiring manifestations of the moments of the Sacred Defense, expressed in a profound and powerful way, yet within the limits of their understanding. Poetry, especially for children, holds the capacity to convey many concepts such as self-sacrifice, bravery, trust in God, patience, patriotism, and more. Therefore, studying poems composed for children with such themes, while considering the specific sensitivities of this age group, is essential. The basis of this article is to critique and analyze two collections of poetry: “Bachchehaye Shahr-e Ma” by Hamid Honarjoo and “Ta Radio Khabar Dad” by Gholamreza Baktash, both dealing with the theme of the Sacred Defense in relation to child audiences.
