Abstract :
Objective: The aim of this research is to examine and analyze the violence of football athletes from a criminal law perspective, with an emphasis on criminal law evidence. Materials and Methods: This research was conducted using a library study method and a descriptive-analytical approach, in which the necessary information was obtained and analyzed by referring to criminal law evidence. Findings: Soccer is one of the most popular sports among people in the world. While this sport provides mental and physical health, it is also a place where various dangers and injuries occur, which sometimes lead to limb defects or even death. Sports violence is behavior that occurs outside the rules and regulations of sports, causes intentional harm, and is not directly related to the competitive goals of sports. Accordingly, criminal law must play an intelligent and proactive role in this regard. The main question of the present study is: "What requirements and solutions does criminal law have regarding violence among football athletes?" The hypothesis of the present study is that Iranian criminal law has shortcomings regarding violence among football athletes, the most important of which is the lack of attention of Iranian criminal lawmakers to the principle of "group-based legislation." Conclusion: Criminal law should take proactive measures regarding violence by football players. The most important action in this regard is to develop a comprehensive law with the cooperation and assistance of experts from other fields, including psychology. Today, given the complexities of social relations and the interrelationships of law with other social matters, including politics, economics, sociology, and psychology, it is necessary for lawmaking to be carried out by a group of experts from various fields. Of course, the solution to the problem should not be pursued solely in criminal law, but holding anger control and management classes and other preventive measures are also effective and fundamental steps that authorities in this field should take.
