Abstract :
Abstract
The aim of the present study was to develop and validate a family-centered art-based perceptual-motor intervention program for children with behavioral problems. The research method was qualitative and the statistical population was university professors in the field of psychology and art in Tehran in 1403, who were selected through purposive sampling and interviews to the saturation level of 11 people. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview. Data analysis was performed using a coding method in three stages: coding of main themes, coding of sub-themes, and extracted open codes. The results showed that the main themes (core coding) of the family-centered art-based perceptual-motor intervention program for children with behavioral problems were developed into eight items, including: body awareness, sensory integration, motor planning, bilateral motor integration, balance skills, fine muscle strengthening, gross muscle strengthening, and visual function skills. Thus, the family-centered art-based perceptual-motor intervention program for children with behavioral problems was developed into eight main themes and thirty sub-themes. Also, based on the extracted open codes, an operational plan for implementing the family-centered art-based perceptual-motor intervention was also developed.
Conclusion: The family-centered art-based perceptual-motor intervention program can be used by therapists to solve the problems of children with behavioral problems.
