A Study of the Role and Character of Women in the Structure of Political Power in the Poems of Khosrow and Shirin Nezami.

Abstract :

Women have an important role and place in the history of Iranian mythology, and given that women made up half of society, identifying and studying influential women throughout history is very important and necessary in order for them to serve as role models for women in today's society. The purpose of this article is to "explain the role and personality of women in the Ganjavi political-military power structure." The method used in this research is a library type; in that the book "Khosrow and Shirin Ganjavi" was carefully studied and the desired material was obtained through content analysis. Nizami Ganjavi's stories are at the center of attention, and many stories revolve around the female character. Women in Nizami's Khosrow Shirin are sometimes charming lovers, sometimes rulers and powerful. And they are present in the power structure.

The theoretical framework used in it is mythological criticism. The findings of this research show that in the poem of Khosrow and Shirin, it is determined and outlined in three dimensions, including: the social dimension, including 5 components and 17 indicators; the political dimension, including 2 components and 14 indicators; and the personality dimension, including 2 components and 5 indicators. Women are leaders and rulers in the military system; their political skills have made them not need men in the administration of the country and they guide men well. The women in Khosrow and Shirin Nezami's poem, unlike other women in such stories, are not veiled women who do nothing but be charming and sarcastic; they are free and powerful women who, along with men, have an active presence in matters of power and political structure.
