Analysis of the novel " Yellow Apple Taste" by Nasser Yousefi from the point of view of trauma criticism

Abstract :
The present study analyzes Nasser Yousefi’s (1967) novel " Yellow Apple Taste" based on trauma. Trauma is an experience or event that profoundly affects a person and can leave long-term psychological, physical, or social consequences. This incident may directly or indirectly affect the individual or those around them, causing feelings such as anxiety, fear, sadness, or a sense of helplessness. The Yellow Apple Taste novel is a psychological work that deals with the personalities of three classmates during their adolescence. Characters who were affected by unfavorable family, social, cultural, and environmental factors and immigration, and whose destructive effects have emerged in the form of a feeling of insecurity in their lives. This article, using a descriptive-analytical method and based on library tools, tries to answer the main question, which types of traumas are more prominent in Yellow Apple Taste novel? According to the research findings, in this novel, trauma changes the foundation of human relationships and leaves them with no identity. The objective consequences of trauma in the Yellow Apple Taste novel are manifested in the form of shock, anxiety, coldness and indifference, numbness and isolation, behavioral disorders, aggression, revisiting bitter memories, and the destruction of human relationships.
