Abstract :
The present study aims to determine the Efficacy of mindfulness-based stress reduction on stress coping strategies of Patients with Multiple Sclerosis. This research is a semi-experimental study with a pre-test- post-test plan with the control group. Among individuals, who suffered from MS according to the Iran MS Association of Tehran City 2017, Thirty-one MS patients had scores below 40. They were assigned randomly to
two groups: the experimental group (15 individuals) and the control group (15 individuals). The MBSR was performed for the experimental group in 8 sessions of 120 minutes and the control group did not receive any intervention. The pre-test and post-test scores of both groups were analyzed using the MANACOVA method. The results of this study showed that reduction of stress based on mind Fullness has been effective in reduction of emotional-oriented and
avoidance strategies and increasing problem-oriented strategies.
