The purpose of this research was to investigate the role of experiential avoidance and psychological distress in predicting cognitive fusion of psychology students in Isfahan. The research method was a correlational description. The statistical population included all psychology students of Isfahan Azad University. Sampling was done in an available manner and according to the minimum sample size for correlational research, which is 50 people, 100 people were selected. Research tools included Acceptance and Action Questionnaire (Experiential Avoidance) - Second Edition (AAQ-II) (Bond et al., 2007) and Psychological Distress Questionnaire (Kessler et al., 2003) and Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire (Gillanders et al., 2010). The findings showed that the role of experiential avoidance and psychological distress in predicting the cognitive fusion of psychology students in Isfahan city is confirmed, and according to the research findings, Experiential avoidance and psychological distress are predictors of cognitive fusion in psychology students of Isfahan Azad University.
