Abstract :

 Abstract

 The third axis in the study of textual coherence in the joint theory of Halliday and Ruqayyah Hassan (1976) is the axis of coherent coherence, which is discussed after grammatical and lexical coherence to examine the continuity of text components. This axis, to which the textuality of the work is indebted, plays an important and determining role in textual coherence and is used in the form of the application of connective devices in the work. The use of connective elements, the extent of their use, how they are used, and the functions that each of these types plays in the text contribute to determining the quality of textual coherence. This article aims to examine the components of coherent coherence such as additive (incremental), contrastive, causal, and temporal relationships in Surah Al-Waqeeh from the Holy Quran. This Surah, which describes the situation of human groups in this world and the Hereafter, is composed of various parts and deals with the fate of different human groups and the characteristics of each. Therefore, examining the coherence between these components, which is related to connective coherence, is of great importance. The result shows that Surah Al-Waqeeh has various types of connective coherence relationships and the Surah is presented in an integrated and coherent format despite the different components and sections. The method used in this research is descriptive-analytical.
