Economists have long devoted most of their discussions to the economic growth theories. New patterns of growth, approaches and policy requirements to achieve a sustainable growth are business expansion, human capital development, productivity improvement and effective government policies. Considering that most of the Islamic countries are developing or less developed countries and they are facing problems such as low level of per capita income and low rates of economic growth; Therefore, these countries need rapid and continuous economic growth to get rid of such problems. One of the most important variables affecting economic growth in new studies is urbanization. In countries, with the increase in population concentration in cities, the disruption of the relationship between villages, towns and cities and the increase in the distribution inequality in the urban system, and in order to decentralize the economic, social and cultural structure, a series of measures have been taken in the last few decades.  . At any point in time, according to the level of urban development of a country, resources may be evenly distributed among different cities, and therefore, the degree of savings resulting from the scale of production will be small. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the effect of urbanization on economic growth in a selection of Islamic countries using the combined data method. The results of this study show that there is a positive and significant relationship between urbanization and economic growth in the studied countries during the period of 2010-2023.
