Abstract :
This research was conducted with the aim of the effectiveness of emotional self-efficacy treatment on self-directed learning and self-differentiation of female students in the academic year of 2022-2023. The research method was a semi-experimental pre-test-post-test type with a control group. For this purpose, 30 female students of Azad University of Ahvaz were selected as available sampling and randomly replaced in two experimental and control groups (15 people in each group). Before and after the intervention, the participants responded to the research tools, which include self-directed learning questionnaires by Fisher et al. (2013) and self-differentiation questionnaire by Skorn and Friedlander (1989). Participants in the experimental group underwent emotional self-efficacy therapy for 8 sessions of 90 minutes, but the control group did not receive any intervention. The data were analyzed at two descriptive levels (mean and standard deviation) and inferential (unilabiate analysis of covariance test). The results of unilabiate covariance analysis showed that emotional self-efficacy treatment increased self-directed learning and self-differentiation of female students (p<0.05). According to the results of the research, it is possible to benefit from the treatment of emotional self-efficacy to improve self-directed learning and self-differentiation of female students.
