Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to know the effect of family communication pattern on the tendency to cosmetic surgery with the mediation of emotion control among female students of the first secondary school in Yasouj city. This research was applied in a descriptive-correlational way using structural equations. The statistical population of the research included all female students of the first year of high school in Yasouj city, in the academic year of 2001-2001, and 350 of them were selected and studied using a multi-stage cluster random sampling method. The results of the indirect hypothesis test showed that the family communication pattern with the mediation of emotion control has a significant effect on reducing the tendency to cosmetic surgery among female students of the first secondary school in Yasouj city (p<0.01). The results of Pearson's correlation coefficient showed that there is a significant negative correlation between the components of communication and conformity with the tendency towards cosmetic surgery (p<0.05). Also, the results showed that the family communication pattern (communication and conformity) with The control of emotions (anger, depressed mood, anxiety and positive emotion) has a significant relationship.
