Designing an interpretative structural model of factors affecting integrated urban management (Case study: Tabriz metropolis)

Abstract :
Today, due to the physical, spatial and demographic growth and expansion as well as the multiplicity and complexity of the problems and challenges of cities, the need for integrated urban management to manage the public affairs of cities, especially for metropolises, has become more clear. The purpose of this research is to model the effective factors on integrated urban management in Tabriz metropolis. The research is descriptive-analytical in terms of methodology and practical in terms of targeting. The data collection method was library and survey. The statistical population of the research was 20 experts and experts by sampling method. The data collection tool is in the form of an interview and a two-way questionnaire, and the criterion of face validity used to measure and evaluate the validity of the questionnaire. The relationships between the factors affecting integrated urban management in Tabriz city analyzed in an integrated manner using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) and finally by using MICMAC Analysis, the types of variables have been determined according to their influence and effectiveness on other variables leveled. The findings of the research showed that the factor of drafting comprehensive urban management laws with the influence of nine is the most influential factor in the realization of integrated urban management in the metropolis of Tabriz, which acts as the foundation stone of the model. On the other hand, the indicators of using successful urban management experiences and carrying out scientific and educational activities together with the level of influence power two have the least impact. According to the findings obtained from this research, amending urban laws and institutionalizing the concept of integrated management among citizens and officials is the first step to realize integrated urban management in the metropolis of Tabriz, because it is necessary for everyone to agree for coordination between activities.
