Abstract :
Regional competitiveness is increasingly important to accelerate regional development and is considered a key criterion for evaluating the degree of success of regions in the field of political, economic and commercial competition. Any country or region that has higher competitiveness in international markets has provided the opportunity to earn more income and prosperity for its people. Appropriate policies to improve competitiveness depend on the conditions and level of development of each region. Therefore, regional competitiveness has been emphasized as one of the most important regional development policies in order to reduce inequalities and regional imbalance. Based on this, the purpose of the research is to determine the position and identify the position of the Zagros region in terms of the level of development. For this purpose, in order to know this region, by using Eviews software and based on Martin's regional competitiveness model and panel data, the typology of selected provinces of Zagros region during 1379-1998 has been investigated. The results indicate that the analyzed indicators including; Human development indicators are 0.639%, labor productivity 0.003%, positive effect and employment rate 0.006%, net migration 1.67%, export share 0.0169%, have a negative effect on the typology of Zagros region. The human development index has a positive and great effect on the region's exit from isolated conditions. The indicators of employment rate and export share have little effect on the typology of the region, and net migration has the greatest effect on the continuity of the region's situation in isolated conditions. Therefore, by increasing the quality of human resources and attracting tourists, it is possible to provide the basis for the positive net migration and the transformation of the region into an immigrant-friendly region, and to move in the direction of changing the situation of the Zagros region and placing it in a dynamic region and increasing the competitiveness of the region, increasing the competitiveness of the region.
