Abstract :
Developments in some regions, including the Middle East, are of particular importance in the change and evolution of America's Grand strategy. The current research tries to evaluate the role of the dynamics of the Middle East region on the US Grand strategy during the years 2008 to 2024, which specifically focuses on the political dynamics of the Middle East. The central question of the research is how the political dynamics of the Middle East have changed the US Grand strategy during the years 2008 to 2024? The research results have shown that the costs caused by the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, the emergence of terrorist groups, the competition of regional powers such as Iran and Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries, the developments of Islamic awakening after 2011 and the intervention and participation of actors. Trans-regional and regional issues in the affairs of other countries caused the United States to try to manage the challenges of the Middle East without a military presence and with a remote balance or an offshore balance instead of being present in the Middle East region. In this article, the conceptual framework of Offshore Balance and the Explanatory-formative method are used.
