Abstract :
The zeolite modified with calcium chloride was exposed to the standard solution of sodium chloride by batch method and continuous method in order to check its effect on EC and sodium ion concentration. The results showed that the continuous method has no effect on reducing sodium ion concentration and EC. But in the batch method, the concentration of sodium ion decreased, but EC did not decrease. In order to simulate agricultural land drainage, a three-part glass box containing different layers of ceramics, synthetic fibers and zeolite modified with calcium chloride in powder, fine, medium and coarse sizes was prepared. Then, the sample taken from the SD3 drain of Imam Khomeini Agriculture and Sanat Company was passed through a glass box with a flow rate of half a liter per minute. The measurement of sodium and EC of the passing water showed that the concentration of sodium ions and as a result the salinity of the water decreased, but the EC did not decrease, but due to the decrease in SAR, the quality class of the Wilcox diagram was upgraded from C3S3 to C3S2. In order to increase the effectiveness of zeolite in reducing EC, raw zeolite was modified by nanoparticles of titanium oxide and manganese oxide. By examining SEM images and FT-IR spectroscopy, it was confirmed that titanium oxide and manganese oxide nanoparticles were mounted on the zeolite substrate. then the water sample taken from the SMD drain; It was exposed to zeolite modified with nanoparticles by batch method.
