Rituals are often symbolic behaviors that are formed on the basis of mythological thinking and later change due to the passage of time. The sky and celestial phenomena such as the moon, the sun, the stars, and atmospheric precipitation have taken a huge part of myths and rituals. Since the day he stepped into the field of knowledge and enlightenment, mankind has lost its old rituals. However, there are still some rituals around the world that have survived to some extent or have been reported to have been performed in the past decades. Sunbathing ritual in Gilan and other areas of Iran is one of the ancient rituals and it was often performed when the rain disturbed the normal life process for people. It is true that there are reports of sunshine all over Iran, especially in the north of the country. In this article, sunbathing will be investigated in several areas of Gilan. The main question of this article is, how was the "sun-seeking ritual" or "Khor Dattaweh" performed in the east of Gilan and what symbols were used in it? The data of this research was collected by field method and documentary method was used during the analysis. The result of the research shows that this ritual was performed when it was raining a lot; The theater is an alley and a market, and symbols such as dolls are used in it.
