Abstract :

The purpose of this research is to predict emotional divorce based on incompatible schemas and dark personality traits in working women. This study is of the correlation type, the statistical population of which is made up of 4900 working women of Morodasht city, of which 356 people were selected through cluster sampling according to the statistical sample size. The research tools included Guttman's emotional divorce scale (1994), Yang's maladaptive schemas scale (1994), and Johnson and Webster's (2010) dark personality traits scale, and the data were analyzed through Pearson's correlation test and stepwise regression analysis. The findings showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between dark personality traits and its dimensions with emotional divorce in working women (P<0.01). Also, the results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the incompatible schemas (total) and the three dimensions of cut and rejection, other orientation and extreme callousness with emotional divorce in working women (P<0.01). The results of the regression test also showed that the dimensions of incompatible schemas and dark personality traits are able to predict 36% of emotional divorce changes in working women. According to the findings of the current research, planning by therapists and health professionals is necessary to reduce emotional divorce in working women by reducing incompatible schemas and dark personality traits.
