Abstract :
The Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) approach is employed to describe and analyze the text by examining the sentence structure, different types of processes, and their functions in the discursive and semantic body of the sentence. This research, using a descriptive-analytical method, attempts to answer the following questions: Which linguistic processes are more prevalent in the textual structure of Sepideh Kashani's allegorical poems? What semantic domains does this female poet use to represent her ideas about naming people and concepts? The findings show that among the six linguistic processes, the most frequent ones in her poetry are "relational" and "material" processes. Given that her poetry is shaped within an educational-motivational discourse context, she initially focuses on describing and conveying her ideas, and then, in order to encourage and motivate the audience, she employs material and actional processes that strengthen the spirit of commitment in the audience. Since Sepideh strives to make concepts such as "defense," "jihad," and "martyrdom" tangible, she avoids using mental and abstract processes. The predominance of "descriptive action" in the narrative structure of her poetic discourse has led to the greater frequency of experiential or initial initiators in her poems compared to other initiators. In her poems, sometimes tangible concepts and sometimes abstract concepts are responsible for conveying the idea of steadfastness and defense of the homeland. The naming method in her poetry has also taken the form of natural elements such as flowers ("tulip," "poppy," "red rose") and colors ("red," "green").
