Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to measure the validity and reliability of the Muslim Belief and Practice Short Scale (S-MPBS) in the sample of Iranian Muslims. In this research, 361 Muslims of Iran randomly completed the questionnaire in virtual space. The questionnaire file includes 5 tests of "Short Scale for Measuring Muslim Beliefs and Actions"; "Religiosity and personality scale in the Islamic context" and "Religiosity scale among Muslims" to measure convergent validity; "Allport Religious Orientation Scale" was used to measure the divergent validity, and the repetition of the short scale test of Muslim belief and practice was used to check the reliability of the scale. The data was analyzed with SPSS 25 software. The findings of the research showed that the test to measure the belief and practice of Muslims in Iranian society has sufficient validity and reliability with Cronbach's alpha (0.797). Also, the results of exploratory factor analysis indicated the inappropriateness of factor analysis based on the opinion of the scale maker; and showed that this scale consists of three factors: trust, non-temporary religious practices and timely religious practices. As a result, this scale can be used to measure belief and practice in Iranian Muslim society and related researches.
